In this video, I will take you through the full life cycle of a botanical gel print on tissue—from the original printing process to how I use it in a finished mixed media piece. All summer, I've been gathering and printing as many botanicals as possible because I only have a few months each year when I can collect these beautiful weeds. After a productive season, I have a lovely Stash built up, and now that it’s fall, it’s time to shift from creating these prints to actually using them in my mixed media work. In this video, I’ll pick one of these tissues, show you how I created it with the gel plate, and then walk you through how I used it as a feature in this final piece. Let’s get started!
