Food Data Digestion is the research and production project curated by Sineglossa, in collaboration with Play with Food Festival, to combine arts and artificial intelligence in an ecosistemic perspective. The project has started in 2022 with the production of And we thought, an artwork by Roberto Fassone, AI LAI and LZ, and a weekly masterclass under the framework of CANTIERI 2023, a educational iniziative dedicated to high artistic education and performative production promoted together with Play with Food Festival, Casa Fools and Earthink Festival. The masterclass “Body, Art, and Artificial Intelligence” was dedicated to performing arts professionals and taught by Roberto Fassone, Andrea Zaninello, and Federico Bomba. From the artwork of And we thought, a new process of prototyping and evolution was designed to make performance artists acquire skills and create new prototypes for possible uses of AI. FOOD DATA DIGESTION is supported by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation as part of the call for proposals “ART~WAVES. For creativity, from idea to scene” which looks at the consolidation of the creative identity of territories through the support of programming in the field of performing arts and contemporary creative production, combining research, production, supply and distribution in an ecosystem logic to strengthen the artistic vocations of the territory.
