Phantom Jump is a free precision platformer heavily inspired by I Wanna Be the Guy fangames and Super Meat Boy. And just like Super Meat Boy, each world has an achievement for finishing all its standard levels without dying. You can play the levels in any order for the achievement, so it's typical to start with the hardest ones. It's also possible to save yourself from death by pressing the retry or quit-to-menu button, but as an added challenge, I won't be doing that this time*. I had a rough time with this one. Although I spent the longest on Moonlit Peaks, the Bonus World was the most frustrating, likely because I underestimated how much time it would take. And although being able to choose your own level order sounds like a blessing, it takes extra effort to come up with a good one, and starting every attempt with the same levels will leave you out of practice with the rest. Moonlit Peaks was the only world I had a set route for; in every other world, I could get away with mixing practice into attempts by frequently switching up my route. But the game doesn't track which levels you've already done during an attempt, so when you don't have a set route, it can be easy to forget (like I did at 5:03). It's not just the challenge I had a rough time with. The game had stuttering issues I had to resolve by switching my monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz before each play session. And even when the game itself wasn't stuttery, my OBS recordings of the game always were (and I had to use OBS if I wanted to include an input overlay). I recorded dozens of clips to test different settings, but increasing OBS' process priority to high was the only thing that seemed to help. Extra notes: -The unlock notification for Sunrise Trailhead's achievement doesn't appear because I had already unlocked the achievement by accident off record. -Supposedly this game is easier if you have experience with I Wanna Be the Guy fangames, but I've never played any. -I wanted to use the same skin in every clip, so I picked the red one since it seemed to be the most visible across all worlds. As for which cloud I equipped... I used it once by accident in the video, so see if you can spot it. (A cloud is a particle effect and/or sound you can play by phantom jumping when you're not supposed to.) Special thanks to Brad from the dev team for providing me with the assets used to make the thumbnail. 00:00 Sunrise Trailhead (trivial) 00:23 Sunrise Mountains (1.0 hrs of effort) 03:55 Morning Meadows (1.6 hrs of effort) 08:30 Shaded Grove (2.3 hrs of effort) 13:01 Flooded Caverns (2.3 hrs of effort) 17:53 Moonlit Peaks (4.5 hrs of effort) 22:42 Bonus World (3.2 hrs of effort) *When reviewing the footage I was annoyed to notice that I technically attempted level 18 of Morning Meadows twice: after finishing level 17 at 5:01, I instinctively pressed A to move on to the next level and played half a second of it before recalling that level 18 was not the next level I wanted to play, so I quit to the menu. It wasn't to save myself from death, but it still resulted in a "do-over" of level 18. Up to you how to interpret that.
