A short demo of how to sync a Roland TR-707 drum machine with a Roland TB-3 bassline synth through a midi connection. This is not meant to be a demo of the features of either the TB-3 or the TR-707 - I am new to both machines and have a lot to learn before I can show-them off. It is just meant to show how to connect and sync the two machines. I neglected to adjust the tempo on the TB-3 in the video but I did try it beforehand and the TR-707 matched the tempo of the TB-3 with no issues. I didn't change patterns on the TB-3 or the TR-707, I just tweaked some of the effects on the TB-3 (cut-off, resonance, tone accent, envelope, delay-effect...) and used the Scatter effect (SC4). I changed the bass sound on the TB-3 part-way through the video and transposed the key of the pattern a couple of times. I used tone B46 and B51 in the video. The tones were recorded on two separate mono tracks and then panned slightly apart because I only have two mono inputs on my soundcard. I added some reverb to the tracks afterwards with the PerfectSpace plugin in SONAR. (Sorry, the autofocus wasn't working well on my camera for the close-up bits at the beginning.)
