Homemade Doner Kebab & DIY Grill ⬇️ SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS RECIPE BELOW ⬇️ Similar to the Greek gyro, the doner kebab is taking the sandwich world by storm! Moist, marinated meat gets roasted on a special rotisserie and sliced ultra thin, then those tender slices are used as the filling for a sandwich and loaded up with all sorts of delicious sauces and toppings. What's not to love? This street food classic is usually reserved for city corners or small restaurants, but now you can bring this delicacy right into your home! ➡️ Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe for a first-hand look at all our best recipes and cooking hacks: https://www.youtube.com/scrumdiddlyum... ****************************************************** You'll Need: For the seasoning blend: 3 tbsp sweet paprika 3 tbsp smoked paprika 2 tbsp cumin 1 tbsp thyme 1 tbsp pepper ¼ cup salt 1 tbsp rosemary For the kebab: 18 lbs beef, sliced & cubed 2 cups plain yogurt 3 onions (1 grated + 1 diced + 1 whole) 6 garlic cloves (3 grated + 3 minced) ¾ cup vegetable oil 1 bunch of parsley, chopped 1 red bell pepper, chopped Here’s How: 1. Divide the 18 lbs of beef in half. Cut one half into thin slices and chop the other half into small cubes. 2. For the seasoning blend, combine all of the spices in a medium-sized mixing bowl. 3. For the marinade, stir together the plain yogurt, vegetable oil, and ¼ cup of the seasoning blend. Transfer the slices of beef to a large mixing bowl, grate 3 cloves of garlic and 1 onion directly into the bowl, and stir in the marinade. Let the slices of beef marinate for at least 2 hours. 4. For the chopped beef, cut the meat into small cubes, add in the chopped parsley, chopped red bell pepper, diced onion, and 3 cloves of minced garlic. Once mixed, chop everything one more time, then stir in ¼ cup of the seasoning blend. 5. Once the sliced beef has marinated, stack the meat on a large wooden skewer, alternating between the slices and chopped beef, and top the skewer off with 1 whole onion. 6. Grill the meat in the homemade kebab grill until tender and a bit crispy on the outside, and slice the outer layer of cooked meat thinly with a sharp knife. 7. Place the slices of kebab meat in a pita pocket topped with yogurt or tzatziki sauce, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to serve. Who can say no to a kebab?
