Armed Mob Attacks US Consulate in Karachi; Marines Fire in Self-Defence, 12 Killed

An armed mob attacked the US consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, opening fire and attempting to set the building ablaze. India Today obtained exclusive footage showing protesters armed with pistols and weapons firing at CCTV cameras and security personnel positioned behind bulletproof glass. US Marines stationed inside the consulate reportedly fired in self-defence. Initial reports indicate at least 12 protesters were killed, though some sources suggest the Pakistani government may be concealing the actual death toll. Separate attacks also occurred in Skardu, in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where the UN office was targeted, resulting in additional casualties.
