Watch Ilya Burkin demonstrate how ADB SAFEGATE´s integrated solutions and applications can help airports around the globe to optimize airport operations – from approach to departure. Integration to enhance airside operations In this video, Ilya Burkin is demonstrating ADB SAFEGATE’s Airside 4.0 concept. He provides a five-minute guide into the Airside 4.0, emphasizing how various ADB SAFEGATE applications assist airports and airlines in optimizing their operations from approach to takeoff. Ilya explains the importance of integrating different business lines and applications to enhance operations. For instance, the approach information is updated for the final approach and displayed on the RIDS screen for the ground crew at the gate and the Apron Manager, facilitating stand preparation for arrivals. This information is accessible in both the airport control center and the ramp control center. Upon landing, this information is also displayed on the RIDS screen, aiding in final checks before the implementation of the “Follow the Greens” system, guiding the aircraft’s movement and leading in. The Apron 360 then begins its preparation for the aircraft’s arrival by ticking off various tasks. The FIDS screen updates with arrival information, and the baggage belt displays the same information for different stakeholders. When aircraft docking commences, the pilot, ground crew, and Apron Manager each receive relevant insights from their respective viewpoints. Preventing unnecessary docking halts The presentation further illustrates that the same process applies to different applications and users, with the RIDS screen capable of providing extensive information. Ilya highlights a scenario where an object on the ground might seem like an obstruction but is identified as not being one, preventing unnecessary docking halts. Further examples include the seamless transition of flights, enhancing efficiency during turnarounds. Operational irregularities, like thunderstorms, necessitate adjustments like delaying fueling, which can delay departures. The system automatically reallocates gates for incoming flights, resolving conflicts and notifying stakeholders through a mobile app. Boarding procedures, including passenger and baggage boarding, are monitored and displayed on the RIDS screen, facilitating communication among the pilot and ground crew. The system also features contextual advertising at gates, tailored to the destination, like booking taxis in New York. The pushback process incorporates safety features like blocking originally planned pushback routes if an aircraft is obstructing and visualizing pushback directions and taxiway blocks on the RIDS screen to prevent conflicts. As aircraft taxi out, the integrated ALCMS solution manages lights individually, highlighting the unified platform, technology, and cybersecurity practices of ADB SAFEGATE’s Airside 4.0. Lastly, after takeoff, the system provides analytics for both the specific flight and overall airport performance, enabling professionals to evaluate operations.
