Project Overkill review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Project Overkill from Konami for the PlayStation. Released to the PlayStation in 1996, Project Overkill was hardly anything new. It's basically a clone of a better game called Loaded, which combined the classic gameplay Robotron with a more contemporary style...and lots of freaking gore. Project Overkill is the same kind of isometric shooter. The premise is usually to get to the location, kill everything that freaking moves and get to the exit alive. And you do this by moving with the directional pad and shooting with the face buttons...this is where the red flags should start popping up.
