A Virtual Visit to Israel

Excited to share with you some highlights from my visit to Israel last spring, when I had the honor of collaborating with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra for a special Yom Haatzmaut concert. The main piece we performed together, Revival of the Dead (Mechaye HaMetim) by Israeli composer Noam Sheriff, tells the story of the Jewish homeland from diaspora through Holocaust to nationhood – a nation whose 75th birthday I look forward to celebrating musically this spring. The piece is included in our recent album, ‘Yizkor: Music of Memory and Tribute’. It was special opening the concert with the singing of Hatikvah - always staying hopeful about the future of our people and state!
