Lauren Kanarek testified in court Wednesday and Thursday about the incident that led to Michael Barisone shooting her and attempting to shoot her fiancé Robert Goodwin. Michael Barisone claims the shooting was in self-defense. Barisone was a dressage trainer, and was training Kanarek as she lived on his property. In other news, the Laundrie family attorney, Steve Bertolino, has filed a motion to dismiss the Petito family lawsuit against his clients, claiming it's "baseless and frivolous." The lawsuit claims that the Laundries knew Petito had been killed before her body was found, and that they were trying to help Brian Laundrie leave the country before he went missing and was later found dead.
