Beinn a Chroin - A Dauner in the Crianlarich Hills

Returning to finish off one, of a pair of the Crianlarich Hills that are often walked together, this dauner would take in Beinn a' Chroin. Several years back I was bound for a walk in the area just North of Loch Lomond that would see me walk two hills in the area known as the Crianlarich Hills. Craig, my walking companion for the day however, happened to mention on the first of these two hills, that he "wasn't so good with heights!" As we approached the summit of An Caisteal along the Northern ridge, we happened across the smallest scramble known to man, with even less exposure.... But to my mate, this was the North face of the Eiger. That day we traversed around this wee rocky outcrop, which by the way, this was way more dodgy than the high curb which originally faced us. Anyway, I made the decision that the drop to the col between An Caisteal and Beinn a' Chroin would have been too much for him. So, I had a wee window of opportunity to get a walk in, before the weather turned later in the week. Beinn a' Chroin, here I come! Time to put this one to bed. Music:
