ASC T-128 Siren Test | Full Attack | Brecksville, OH | 9/22/2018

Located at the Blossom Hill Turf Field on Oakes Rd. Sirens in Brecksville are now tested at 12 PM on the First Saturday of every month. Please see the notes at the end of the description. Originally Recorded on September 22nd, 2018. Yup, you read the date in the title correctly. Great way to end Throwback Thursday with a video from yesteryear that I never uploaded. This DC-only T-128 is located at the Blossom Hill Montessori School at the Turf Field owned by the City of Brecksville. This siren was installed in July of 2005 by Belvedere Electric of Bolivar (this was one of their first installs (if not the first) as an American Signal dealer) to cover a gap area, while another T-128 was installed at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center that replaced a Whelen 2016. The last two remaining Whelens, a 2016 at Brecksville Cemetery and the 2809 at Lubrizol were replaced in 2014 and 2016 respectively by FS 2001-130's. This is the same siren featured in the first siren video I ever recorded back in June 2017. It sounds worse than when I recorded it during the 2018 SWA fiasco during the blizzard. This video I don't believe I uploaded at the time because I thought it "turned out bad." Upon deleting files in my editing software, I happened to find this video, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, so I decided it deserved a proper upload. Note 1: This siren is no longer operational, the batteries died after the first few tests of the 2019 test season in March/April 2019. By 2021, the problem has been rectified. Note 2: In early 2019, the new Brecksville Police Station across from City Hall opened. One of the changes at the new station was that Brecksville now houses the county dispatch center for the Southwest Region of the county, called Chagrin Valley Dispatch. When this change occurred, the PD decided to begin testing alongside the SW Cuyahoga sirens. Tests now occur on the First Saturday of the month at noon from March through October.
