Economic Vs. Racism What I learned from Higher Learning is this movie is about the affects of social pressures to conform to the expectations of the groups we belong to. How without an identity one's innocence can become ignorance. And 3rd, how there's multiple struggles going on at the same time, and they're many levels of discrimination. Check it out. This movie is for the young person that made it to next level of understanding after high school. When all the pressures of the world begins to weigh on you. Personally most of what we were taught to us from K through 12 was half truths excluding math. The movie suggests we Un-Learn it. When you see this review of Higher Learning understand ,when Malik checks his roommate by saying "we gotta talk", that was a metaphor for black and white relations. Here John Singleton was showing how easy its is to get a understanding and coexist. The room was an Analogy for the world. So, what's making it mean in America? Are you in it for the money or knowledge? Ice Cube as the messenger of the film posed these same questions.
