A scrappy album made with whatever instruments, microphones, percussions I could find - with songs in many different styles. Very eclectic. This is an album that meant one thing for me: ''no more excuses''. Between 2010 and 2013, after my previous band disbanded, I did nothing with my musical ideas. They collected dust on my hard drive. I was frustrated, focused on gear more than on my music, and never finished any song. One day, I decided that it was enough. That I would release an album before the end of 2013, no matter what. No matter if I didn't have the right microphones to record, no matter if I wasn't sure in what style I wanted to write, no matter if my songs were far from perfect. I would just let go of perfectionnism and do it. I used a Cajon percussion box, because I didn't have access to drums, and programming drums felt too overwhelming for me (my friend helped me program drums for the last song). Heck, I even mic'ed up the speaker of a Casio piano because I couldn't figure out how to record virtual piano in my computer! No excuses. This album is the result. An album extremely imperfect, but that I now look at with fondness and pride. We all start somewhere, and it was the start of something beautiful for me. The songs were supposed to represent the different memories of an old man in his final moments. The last song, ''A Lifetime Passed'', has become a recurring motif in my music that you will be able to spot in the next albums as well (I made a video explaining this concept of a Leitmotif here:    • How To Compose A Leitmotif On Guitar [Comp...  ). From relaxing guitar songs, to blazing 2-handed tapping à-la-Joe-Satriani, to classical guitar counterpoints, to funky grooves, to fast paced mandolin, to soundscapes and everything in between... this is my debut album, Autumn Stories, released in 2013.
