Wicked Tuna - Outer Banks [North vs South]🥇First Episode! (Full Show) This is Episode 1 "Yankee Invasion" from Season 1 of Wicked Tuna- North vs South, which became Wicked Tuna- Outer Banks at the start of Season 2... After a lackluster bluefin tuna season in the North Atlantic, Gloucester captains Dave Marciano (Hard Merchandise) and TJ Ott (Hot Tuna) venture south to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Their goal: extend their fishing season and recover financial losses. However, they face unfamiliar waters, different fishing techniques, and a Southern fleet that's less than welcoming. The episode introduces the Southern captains: Reed Meredith (Wahoo), Britton Shackelford (Doghouse), and Greg Mayer (Fishin’ Frenzy). These seasoned locals highlight the differences in fishing styles, noting that, unlike in the North where tuna swim deep, in the Outer Banks, the fish are often near the surface. As the Northern boats arrive, tensions rise. Hot Tuna manages to catch the first fish of the season, but not without challenges. Meanwhile, onboard the Doghouse, a mishap leads to an electrical malfunction, causing significant issues for Shackelford and his new first mate, Caine Livesay. The Meredith brothers on the Wahoo make a $5,000 season-long bet with Greg Mayer of the Fishin’ Frenzy. A notable moment features Fishin’ Frenzy's first mate, Nick Gowitzka, celebrating the season's start by shooting a champagne bottle, adding a touch of local flair.
