The Ascendant is probably the most important data point in the natal chart. The reason? The Ascendant is the degree and minute of what sign was rising on the eastern horizon when you were born (date, time and place). The rising sign (Ascendant) gives us the shape of the chart, where the planets are splayed across the houses (another video) of your natal chart. Calculation is done to the sidereal zodiac then converted to the tropical zodiac (western). TIME OF BIRTH is SO IMPORTANT! It actually gives the key to YOU and your natal potential in this life! I will do another video when I’m home next year of calculating charts by hand, as I do have the Book of Tables that is required to do that calculation. But for now, I hope this simple video for one of the most important Astrology 101 subjects is about this foundational lesson. We are fortunate to have software nowadays to calculate the charts for us which lead us to learning faster! Thank goodness for our advances in technology for us to create the charts so quickly with some basic information needed: (1) birthday, (2) place (city, state, country) and (3) time of birth. In just a few minutes you can have a chart to start deep diving into the symbolism of what is available for understanding YOU! Free software to create your chart is available at astro.com and astro-seek.com . Book a reading: https://onesagesview.com/readings/ Example end of video: JANE GOODALL born April 3, 1934 at 11:30 pm GMT Hamstead, England. *Note her chart time is graded at a B level per Rodden Rating (astro.com). The OSV Community is coming in just over a WEEK! See the comment below around Nov30-Dec4 for the link to the community soon. I'll be posting it as soon as it is ready for everyone to join and we can start doing more weekly live sessions and have time for open Q&A to enhance your learning.
