I’m always seeing people doing fun bag toppers with clothespins or paperclips. I decided to give the clothespins a try. I made some fun digital images to glue onto them, and even used some flat-back cabochons from my stash. The nutcracker was inspired by a character on a YouTube channel my brother does, and the PEZ dispensers were inspired by stamps I saw online, but also I have a small PEZ collection of my own. Come and follow along on my journey making these for the first time and maybe try making some yourself! / @diyem Other channels and videos I reference: My brother’s Nutcracker channel “That Boy Nelius” - / @thatboynelius Timestamps: Intro music - 00:00 Intro discussion - 00:16 Digital time-lapse of Cornelius nutcracker design in Illustrator CS4 - 01:07 Laminating the print-out - 10:57 Fussy-cutting - 13:44 Scoring my PEZ dispenser bases - 16:30 Hot gluing Nutcrackers - 20:07 Hot gluing PEZ dispensers - 21:56 End discussion - 28:36 Outro music - 31:38 End - 31:54 Products Discussed: Clothespins - (You can sometimes find these at the dollar store) - https://tinyurl.com/cvs5awx9 Maybe paperclips - (You can sometimes find these at the dollar store or an office supply store) - https://tinyurl.com/mr3ueedr Printer (I use this one, but it’s not necessary to have this printer, alternatively you can take things to be printed at a local printing place) - https://tinyurl.com/mr2fd6pn Cardstock paper (I use) - https://tinyurl.com/mtcfr2dw Holographic lamination sheets - Premium vinyl sticker paper (Bleidruck) variety pack - https://tinyurl.com/2s4xy42k Optional - if you want a non-toxic resin appearance - Mod Podge Dimensional Magic - https://tinyurl.com/3brkzzjy & Glossy Accents - https://tinyurl.com/bdd72b5w Silicone mat - https://tinyurl.com/5y8db3r8 Hot glue finger protectors - https://tinyurl.com/yt8y65xd Hot glue gun - https://tinyurl.com/4y54p2z5 Hot glue sticks (depending on what you are crafting with) - https://tinyurl.com/5fhz8m7d Optional - Bearly Art precision craft glue - https://tinyurl.com/yjrp6tn7 My Scissors from Michael’s - https://tinyurl.com/y8n939zv Scissors - https://tinyurl.com/pasjbjak Scoreboard - https://tinyurl.com/bdhs878e Scoring / Sculpture tools - Dotting & ball stylus tools - https://tinyurl.com/2u3r5kpz Cabochons if you wish to decorate PEZ dispensers or just top the clips on their own.
