I finally got a controller pak that can save Snowboard Kids! After 100%'ing the game, I decided it was about time I got a world record. The Trick Game was always my favorite aspect of Snowboard Kids for some reason, so I decided to see how many points I could get. The first step was finding the perfect stats. I found more speed makes for a higher jump contrary to believing a higher jump stat makes for a higher jump. However, if you have high speed and high jump, the character goes too high in the air, taking forever to get down. Linda on a Freestyle board and Jam on All Around board met these requirements perfectly. Alpine boards are out of the question since they can only face one direction unlike the other two. The Star Board has too good of stats along with Sinobin, so they're out of the question too. So it came down to Linda and Jam. After some testing, I found Linda can land a special move on the half pipe which always gives 40 pts. Jam's on the other hand takes too long to perform and falls. So Linda on the Freestyle board was the perfect match. After finding a good strat that you see in the video, I managed to get 4000 points. But it had plenty of room for improvement. I tried every trick I could think of to squeeze in as many points as I could. I found an ideal beginning strat which saved time and immediately got me enough speed to perform tricks without falling. The last 120 points (240 after multiplier) are definitely the coolest. Specifically the last trick before the rail as that requires perfect timing to pull off. I found I could leave the half pipe at 00:23 and be able to barely make it to the finish line. After a lot of trial and error, I found the perfect strat to get max points. It just so happens that this perfect strat would barely get me 5000 points. Not only that, but without the grab at the beginning, there would be 64 moves needed to get exactly 5000. Amazing coincidences if you ask me. I highly recommend you play this game. It's so much fun. Though you need an official Nintendo Brand Controller Pak to save. Oh, and look at the billboards while I'm on the half pipe. They say 'Snobow Kids'. This is the Japanese pronunciation of Snowboard Kids. Come to find out, these billboards are all over the place, I've just never noticed all these years. Easter Eggs in plain sight. Enjoy.
