Salvage to Savage Gear: www.salvagetosavage.com/shop/ Follow us on IG for Daily Posts, Updates, and Giveaways! @SalvagetoSavage ------------------------------------------------------------------------- We're getting close to putting a wrap (get it?) on our twin Tesla swapped 1985 squarebody! We're nearing our SEMA deadline, but there's no time to be daydreaming about the Las Vegas lights yet, because we still have a ton of work do do on this EV C10 before we can roll it out to the West Coast! The whole truck is getting stripped down to be able to get our chassis painted. That means both model S motors, the model 3 battery pack and all of our KW suspension components need to be removed! Once we get our cage primed, we're able to lay down a gorgeous metallic bronze to really make our roll cage and subframe combo pop! While we have the truck torn to pieces, Andrew is able to do some work on the inverters. Since we're running a Corvette C5 front subframe, we needed to get fancy and make a custom inverter relocation kit to make sure our Tesla motor could fit in the front of this squarebody. We have some other cool parts going into the inverter as well, like a ZeroEV control board that will let us fine tune every aspect of these EV motors' performance. Once we have the chassis painted and reassembled we're able to hook up our Willwood 18" brakes and 6 piston calipers to give this truck stopping power that matches its torque output. From there we can mount our Mishimoto coolers and route all of our Vibrant lines and fittings to make sure the battery and motors stay nice and cool in our Tesla swapped C10! The last hurdle we have to jump is getting our cab wrapped. While we would have loved to give this truck a nice custom paint job for SEMA, we simply did not have time. So the guys at Mimessi took time out of their busy schedule to lay down a killer 3M vinyl wrap on this truck so that we can roll into SEMA in style. With everything wrapped and ready to go, we're able to put all of our fenders on, mount our bed back up and get this electric C10 looking like a real truck again! With wiring and interior left to knock out, we're so close to getting this truck driving right onto a trailer and out to the dessert for the big show on November 1st! -------------------------------------------------------- Redoing your cooling system?
