缙云山位于重庆市北碚区嘉陵江温塘峡畔，古名巴山。是7000万年前"燕山运动"造就的"背斜"山岭。山间白云缭绕，似雾非雾，似烟非烟，磅礴郁积，气象万千。早晚霞云，姹紫嫣红，五彩缤纷。古人称"赤多白少"为"缙"，故名缙云山。 缙云山与嘉陵江小三峡、合川钓鱼城一并被定为国家级自然风景名胜区。缙云山总占地面积76平方千米，海拔350米-951米。缙云山景色宜人，植物资源丰富，素有北有缙云、南有石笋之美誉。 Jinyun Mountain is located on the banks of the Wentang Gorge of the Jialing River in Beibei District, Chongqing. It was known as Bashan in ancient times. It is a “fold” mountain range formed by the “Yanshan Movement” 70 million years ago. The mountain is surrounded by white clouds, misty and ethereal, like smoke yet not smoke, majestic and abundant, exhibiting various weather patterns. The morning and evening skies are filled with colorful clouds and vibrant hues. The ancient people referred to the mountain as “Jin” due to its abundance of red and scarcity of white, hence the name Jinyun Mountain. Jinyun Mountain, together with the Xiaosanxia of the Jialing River and the Diaoyucheng in Hechuan, has been designated as a national-level scenic area. It covers a total area of 76 square kilometers, with an elevation ranging from 350 to 951 meters. Jinyun Mountain boasts pleasant scenery and rich plant resources, earning it the reputation of “Jinyun in the north and Shisun in the south.”
