No action and not tacticool at all - but preparing a new rope for the mission is essential to avoid wasting time in the field. So at first I uncoil the rope - some manufacturers do coils, that are super easy to undo. Some you can just open and place on the ground. For this one I chose to rotate the whole rope, since before I already had to untangle super massive tangles. Then I find the middle by redirecting the rope in a high point and repeat this at least 2 times. So I am sure, I am close to the exact rope middle. Then I take a sharpie or rope marker and paint the middle marking. I do two fat marks and two slim ones. The symmetry makes it easier to identify the middle in the field. Then I pull the rope in a way, that one end is on the bottom and one on top. Now I do backpack coils or use a rope bag. Here I use a waterproof bad and start with a double overhand knot as an end knot for the rope. Then I stuff the rope in the bag. In the start I do a figure of eight know with a double overhand. I make sure, that both ends are on top to easily identify, if the rope has got a stopper knot. Then I compress it in the bag and close the bag. The rope: https://www.aliens-outdoor.com/statis...
