In this video, I show a simple but highly flexible workflow that moves seamlessly between analogue and digital drawing. A hand-drawn garden plan starts on real paper, is imported into Morpholio Trace, developed and rendered using layers, and then exported back out again as a physical print. Working this way allows you to experiment freely — moving plants, adjusting layouts, testing colour and texture — without committing permanently to marks on the original drawing. Morpholio Trace doesn’t replace hand drawing. It extends it. You keep the tactility of pen and paper, while gaining speed, accuracy, and the freedom to explore alternatives before finalising anything. This approach is particularly useful when you want to work loosely at first, refine digitally, and still present a finished analogue drawing if required.
