Hi! In this video, I discuss the PROS and CONS of living in Miami, all the things you should know before moving to Miami in 2025. I first delve into the cons of living in Miami, like the cost of living and some aspects of the weather, after which I get into the pros: sunny weather, a walkable city with lots to offer, like great restaurants and a busy night life, as well as the friendly people living in it! Lastly, I get into some things that became apparent to me after moving to Miami, not necessarily good or bad, just some things that were new to me and might be to you as well :). A little disclaimer: These pros and cons are all my opinion! And are based on my experience in moving from Europe (The Netherlands to be exact) to Miami. This is my first time living in the US, and while some pros or cons might be very Miami specific, others might be more general to the US as well. Furthermore, I have seen these types of videos with opinions that directly contradict mine, and that is ok! Miami has so much to offer Depending on the neighbourhood, you don’t need a car, at least in Brickell/Downtown. You can walk or take public transport! Amazing restaurants! Night life There’s always something to do! People are friendly, very easy to get to talking to different people Huge melting pot of different cultures! So many different people come together to enjoy what this amazing city has to offer. 🤔Things to know: People honk A LOT - not aways angry, sometimes to be like “i’m here!” (as people are allowed to overtake each other from each side) + a lot of time put of annoyance of being stuck in traffic for a long time “You’re good!” instead of no problem Taxes added later - luckily not to high in Miami because of no state tax Tipping culture!
