One of my most recent songs, written in April 2025. Two of my friends said the same words: "I don't believe in love." Yes, they do. What they really meant is expressed in the song. Here are the lyrics: GIVE IT TIME You say you don’t believe in love, But I don’t think that’s true. Surely you remember How it felt when love was new. And if your heart is broken now, As only love can do, Give it time, your heart will mend. Love will come to you. You say you don’t believe in love, Or think that love will last. Do not let your future Be determined by the past. It’s in the rear view mirror now, So don’t be looking back. This is now, and that was then, All your pain will pass. But who am I to say these things? I’ve lived alone for years, Not allowing hopes and dreams To overcome my fears. I have shied away from love To keep from shedding tears.
