Today I tested the Mystic arts in Swords, Kusarigama, Onmyo magic, and Ninjutsu in Nioh. Each skill tree has two Mystic arts to choose from, and today I want to tell you my opinions of which mystic art is best in each of these skill trees. For the Sword mystic arts in Nioh we have the Sword of Salvation, which reduces the amount of Ki used for evasion, and the Sword of Execution, which increases rear attack damage. There are a ton of people using the Sword of Execution for rear attack damage builds so I wanted to find the percentage of attack increase. Sword of Execution - The Sword of Execution in Nioh receives a 50% attack increase when striking an enemy from behind. Sword Of Salvation- From my testing it seems to be a 10-15% decrease to ki usage while evading. This is a very bad Mystic art because that amount can roll on one piece of gear. Kusarigama use two different parts of the weapon to cause damage. The sickle and the metal weight. The metal weight of the Kusarigama is used in most of the attacks, but has a smaller damage profile than the sickle. The Kusarigama Mystic arts are: Waxing crescent which increases sickle damage and reduces ki consumption and Shooting star which increases Metal Weight damage and reduces Ki consumption. Shooting star- The metal weight receives a 20% increase to damage output and reduced ki consumption. Most of the quick attacks are with the Metal Weight so this is a very good buff. Waxing Crescent- The Sickle receives an 8% attack increase and reduced Ki Consumption. This is not very good considering that there are much fewer attacks using the Kusarigama's sickle. The two Onmyo magic Mystic arts in Nioh are: Amplification, which increases the duration of skill and item buffs and Awakening, which casts magic instantly on the user and faster cast speed on enemies. Amplification- Increases the duration to skill and item buffs by 50%. Awakening- Does cast the first spell instantly, however subsequent casts are under a small cooldown period. Lastly we have Ninja Mystic arts these include: Enlightenment, instant cast speed for Ninja skills and Concealment which increases the attack damage of long range attacks. Enlightenment- The same thing as Awakening for Ninja skills. Concealment- Increases damage of Bows, Rifles, and Hand Cannons by 50% as well as thrown items. I will be including the description from my previous video if you are wondering about the skills or guardian I am using in Nioh. Today I wanted to test Tengen Kujaku, who in my opinion is the best guardian spirit in Nioh. What makes Tengen Kujaku the best guardian spirit in Nioh? Stats! For general increases to attack power, defense, and ki regeneration, Tengen Kujaku delivers more than any other guardian. The reason this is so much better than other guardians is because of a certain passive stat in this spirit guardians arsenal. Bonus from amrita absorption basically gives you a buff depending on the stance you are in while receiving amrita. High stance - Attack buff (in my tests it was around 60%) Mid stance - Defense buff Low stance - Ki Regeneration Buff (similar to sacred water) These buffs alone can beat out some of the most offensive, defensive, and ki based guardians you can choose, but together they make Tengen Kujaku in a league of his own. When paired with the carnage talisman the attack buff stacks to be over a 200% attack power increase! This is an absolutely absurd amount, and makes this spirit guardian easily the best in Nioh outside of infinite living weapon builds.
