Lipedema & The Struggle to Find Jeans | American Eagle Haul

In this video, I’m sharing a very real and honest American Eagle jeans try-on haul as a plus size mom in my late 30s. I ordered several styles of jeans in hopes of finding that perfect fit… but spoiler alert — they were all fails. Living with lipedema makes jean shopping even more challenging. If you’re not familiar, lipedema is a condition that causes disproportionate fat distribution, especially in the legs, which makes it difficult to find pants or jeans that fit comfortably and look flattering. Even though this haul didn’t go as planned, I think it’s important to share the struggles many women face when it comes to fashion, especially when our bodies don’t fit into the “standard” sizing charts. Not every try-on ends in success, and that’s okay! I’m all about keeping it real and showing the behind-the-scenes truth of plus size shopping with lipedema.
