Ranebennur City Municipal Commissioner Fakkirappa Ingalagi was reportedly pushed and shouted at when he attempted to remove unauthorized banners put up near Kurbageri Cross for the Taralabalu Hunnime Mahotsava. According to sources, some leaders from the Veerashaiva community objected to the banner removal and created a scene on the spot. Instead of cooperating with the law, they allegedly showed arrogance and threatened the civic official who was only doing his duty.
