Next, to a pot, add water, half tsp of turmeric powder, half a tsp. of salt and yam pieces and cook for five minutes on high flame. After five minutes turn off the stove and strain the water and let the yam pieces cool completely. For the masala mix, to a wide plate add three tsp of rice flour, half tsp of turmeric powder, one tsp of red chilli powder, one tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder, half tsp of pepper powder, two tsp of cumin powder, three tsp of coriander powder, one tsp of fennel powder, one tsp of garam masala powder, one tsp of salt, one tsp of ginger garlic paste, juice of half lemon and a little water. Mix everything well. Coat the cooked yam pieces with the masala and marinate it for ten minutes. Then take a pan and add two tbsp of oil and spread it evenly. Add the marinated yam pieces on the tawa and fry it for three minutes on both sides. Yummy and crispy Yam fry is ready to be served with the rice of your choice.
