Camping Getaway at Dwarsberg Trout Haven

Hey everyone! We're back with another weekend video. This time we took a camping trip to Dwarsberg Trout Haven situated near Rawsonville in the Western Cape province. If you're looking for a peaceful mountain escape close to Cape Town, keep watching! Overview: This slice of heaven is only an hour and a half out of Cape Town. So if you finish work late on a Friday, this get away is still close enough to head out late. (Be warned. Some sites, in fact most sites, are booked up AT LEAST 6 months to a year in advance!) Although popular for its excellent fly fishing, we was there to enjoy the natural beauty and campground facilities. The venue has self-catering cottages, a restaurant, and shady campsites surrounded by mountain fynbos vegetation. Camping Experience: We set up camp on site nr 7 this time around, our absolute favourite! The campground has hot showers, power points, a decent 'swemgat' with gorgeous mountain views. Stargazing at night, swimming during the day and breathing the clean mountain air was all we did for a straight 48 hours. I highly recommend considering Dwarsberg for a peaceful break from city life. The magnificent setting make it perfect for a weekend getaway! Until next time...
