For over 6 months I’ve been getting O2 sensor error codes P0031, P0037, P0051, and P0057 on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler JKU, and of course the check engine light. These codes all relate to the heater circuit. There is no performance change for the Jeep when these are in alarm. I can clear them (eventually) and they stay off for a while, and then come back – usually at start up but sometimes while driving. I go into way more detail on the issues at the end of the video. Replacing the sensors is likely NOT going to fix this, but it’s possible one sensor’s heater circuit is causing all 4 to show errors. It’s way cheaper to replace 4 sensors ($100) than to replace the next likely thing – the computer (ECM/PCM) for $1,300. This video is meant to be a how-to for replacing the O2 sensors in the Jeep. I get 3 of them done with the hardest one something I’m saving for a future video. I also go into the diagnosis I did with a multimeter to try to figure out what’s going on (spoiler: it’s the PCM). Hopefully this video helps folks, either on ‘how to replace the O2 sensors’ or with giving more detail and thoughts on the troubles I’m having (at the end of the video).
