In 1979, a British company called Tangerine released the Microtan 65, a 6502 based kit computer. A few years later they renamed themselves into Oric Computers, and released the Oric 1, soon followed by the Oric Atmos. One of the earliest software publisher for the Oric computers was Tansoft, which has the name indicates was closely related to Tangerine. This is the first video of a series designed to bring a bit of information to people wondering what the heck were these Oric machines, and have them realize that they had a significant software library. --=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-=--=-= The Defence Force blog: http://blog.defence-force.org The Defence Force forums: http://forum.defence-force.org The Defence Force games and demos: http://www.defence-force.org we also have a twitter account and a facebook page Twitter: / defenceforceorg Facebook: / defenceforceorg and if you want to code on the Oric, we have a Software Development kit for you: The Oric SDK: http://osdk.defence-force.org
