In June of 1994 a little girl's skull was discovered to be on display in a tattoo shop in New Hampshire. It's been 3 decades and her identity is still unknown but someone out there could hold the key to solving this mystery. The DNA Doe Project is urging anyone with roots in Greece, especially from the island of Chios, who has taken a DNA test through services such as Ancestry or 23andMe to download their raw DNA data and upload it to public databases that permit law enforcement matching, including GEDmatch, DNA Justice, or FamilyTreeDNA. By opting in on these platforms, individuals may help investigators identify an unknown girl whose case is connected to Greek ancestry. Researchers have found potential links to the surnames Kladia, Fafalios, Mathioudis, Palios, Stamoulis, Menis, Antokas, and Sideratos, and even distant DNA matches could provide critical clues.
