Mountaineer, sportswoman and intrepid traveller Sandy Hill survived the deadliest Everest climb in history, with 8 individuals losing their lives. On top of the agony of this near-death experience and losing friends and teammates, Sandy has also faced a social death as a consequence of a book written about the climb, pointing to a woman, Sandy, blaming her for the 1996 Mount Everest disaster.
