Professions in Cataclysm offer a bit more freedom than previous expansions, but with that said, there are still a few that stick out when it comes to player power. Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing, and tailoring, the usual suspects, still reign supreme-- but the gap between these professions and other professions you may want to run for gold purposes, like alchemy, is much smaller and definitely viable options even for sweaty raiders.
