It’s exhausting, frustrating, and simply not worth it anymore. So I decided to do something I haven’t done in a very long time… 👉 *Take the Indian Railways.* I wasn’t sure what to expect — would it be comfortable? chaotic? cleaner than before? worse? Well, let’s just say this journey turned out to be a rollercoaster. The moment I reached Surat station, I was **SHOCKED**. Hundreds of people everywhere. Platforms overflowing. Luggage, families, vendors… total madness. For a second, I genuinely panicked and thought: *“What if I don’t even get a seat despite having a reservation?”* The *Surat → Mumbai* part of the journey was surprisingly decent. A bit crowded, but manageable. I thought maybe things weren’t as bad as people say. But the **return journey**… was a **nightmare**. There was **literal human waste smeared on my seat**. I couldn’t sleep. There was crowding inside the compartment, people standing everywhere, and the train was packed even late in the evening. I was so done that I took the return train on the same day I reached Mumbai. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting such a rough experience — and yet, 👉 *It was STILL better than driving on NH48 right now.* That says a lot. If I have to pick between a back-breaking 9-hour drive and a chaotic train, well… the train still wins by a small margin. Overall, I’d rate this journey: *5/10* Would I do it again? Maybe. But with lower expectations and a LOT more sanitizer.
