Hi, Happy New Year and welcome back. Apologies for a longer episode, I haven't spoken about work for a couple of weeks so I went into sales mode haha. This week we talk about panel warranties and the misunderstanding about claiming, responsibilities, maintenance and ongoing life of your panels. Is it the responsibility of the steel manufacturer, the insulation chemical, or the panel manufacturer? A panel warranty is NOT automatically issued and given and therefore it must be claimed by the architect, main contractor, installer or end client/developer and its their responsibility to ensure the life of the building is maintained, recorded and registered with a reputable maintenance contractor, with access then given to the panel manufacturer should there be any claims in the life of the building. A panel claim from my experience tends to only happen during get first 6-12 months and therefore, providing the building is then maintained annually or every 6 months (depending on the panel manufacturers terms and conditions), whether the warranty is 10 years or 50 years, providing the building is maintained, there should be no issues. But remember, as a client, you are responsible to claim and register your warranty, not the panel manufacturer. The next episode will be on fire stopping and penetrations so if you are a manufacturer if these type of systems and products, a distributor or reseller, maybe an installer, get in touch as I want to hear from you. Thanks as always for your continued support. Please Like, Share, Follow and Subscribe. Wishing you all the very best for 2026. Here's to a hopefully successful and positive changing construction industry.
