The Elite 800X is an awesome (ly expensive) wireless headset with only one flaw for me: The earcups and my big ears. I wanted to replace the earcups with either deeper cups, or cushions with better foam. TL:DW: To remove the cups, the earcushions, and plastic plate they are attached to, rotate 1/8 of a turn clockwise if you are looking into the ear cup, then the cushion and plastic plate separate from the headphones. You cannot remove the cushions without either destroying the ear cushions that come with the headset, or ordering two replacement cushions and destroying them to reuse the plastic plate that mates the cushion and headphone together.
