Al Majma'ah (المجمعة) is a city and a governorate in Riyad Province, of Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1417 CE by an immigrant from the Alshammari tribe, Al-Majma'ah was historically considered the capital of the region of Sudair. It was an attractive place for many tribes such as Anazah and Shammar. The city today contains many historical and agricultural sites, a museum as well as an impressive mud-brick fort that dates to the 18th century. The city is covered in green during Spring, which makes it a national destination. There are many private farms consisting mostly of palm trees, but other fruits and vegetables are also grown such as citrus or berry. We have covered 7 main tourist attractions in Al Majmah in this video: Special Instructions for your Safety: Don't visit these historical sites alone. They are quite horrifying. 1. The name of Al-Mashqar was mentioned in the book of the historian Abdullah bin Khamis (Dictionary of Al-Yamamah), and he mentioned that it is a large valley from the valleys of Sudair, embraced by a tributary that comes from the northwest side of Jabal Hattaba. The historical researcher Abdul Mohsen Al-Laboun explained that Wadi Al-Mashqar descends from the heights of the Tuwaiq mountain range in the center of the Kingdom, heading east, passing through Al-Majmaah and Harmah, penetrating the Al-Majzal mountains, and ending in Riyadh Al-Khufaisah at the Al-Urma Mountains. After the heavy rains, the valley turned into something like a running river, about six kilometers long, surrounded by grasses and shrubs, and it is called in the local dialect "Hayer", meaning the flow of rainwater over the surface as a result of the saturation of the soil with water and the high level of surface water.
