Today we bring you Jessica Feerick of the Hudson Valley Hawks. My goal was to change how softball recruiting videos are made. I have done a lot of research on these types of videos and personally I find them hard to watch; low quality, painfully long, and slow to the point. I sit back and try to think how a college recruiter feels watching 100's of these videos without skimming through, I imagine we only have 30 seconds to capture their attention. My focus was to make the first 30 seconds as impactful as possible to keep the viewer watching, whoever it may be. Using intense music and high quality 4k footage, plus applying softball drills that matter (but not too many), the viewer has no choice to watch. In addition, I compacted all the footage into under 3.5 minutes but still show the athleticism of the players. I am happy with the final product. A short, watchable, and impactful softball college recruiter video that Jessica and her family will have for years to come.
