Gibson Les Paul Goldtop 1956 Vintage Guitar repair in my Luthier Workshop. The owner of this iconic Goldtop asked me to take care of his amazing Instrument. I have to admit that I am a great Goldtop fan. I used to play myself a 1972 Deluxe Goldtop with a p-90 in the neck and a Humbucker in the bridge position. This P-90 equipped beauty was modified back in the 60´s. The pre owner installed a third P-90 and a second toggle switch wich was placed between the pots. After years the holes were professionally closed and the top was refinished. This Guitar feels amazing especially the neck shape is incredible. In this Video you can follow the process how I maintain this beautiful Instrument. I will also share a couple of Luthier hacks that can be very useful for you.
