Overcoming Academic Struggles with Jordan Toma

On this episode of the Myokinetix podcast, Dr. Natty spoke with Jordan Toma. Jordan is a motivational speaker who talks about overcoming anxiety inside schools to high school students and parents around the country. He discusses how anxiety can affect students’ grades and test-taking skills. He aims to show kids and their parents that there are ways to overcome this anxiety and still be able to succeed. Some of his goals include being to find and connect privately funded tutors to kids and helping prepare kids for getting accepted to and attending college. Jordan also travels, personally delivering his book, I’m just a kid with an IEP to people around the country. All of the donations he receives, he puts towards his tutor funding goal. While on the podcast, he expresses the importance for parents, teachers, and peers to always believe in, and provide the proper resources for, kids struggling with anxiety. It’s not the anxiety itself causing failure, it’s the lack of resources, and when you have the right resources, he believes you will succeed.
