Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa 🙏 In this video, I share my complete Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy Darshan journey, starting from Hyderabad all the way to Sannidhanam. This video will help devotees and travellers understand the travel routes, trekking experience, and spiritual significance of the Sabarimala Yatra. 🚆✈️ Journey from Hyderabad to Kerala I began my journey from Hyderabad, traveled to Bangalore, and then took a connecting flight to Cochin International Airport. From Cochin Airport: • Took the airport shuttle to Aluva Metro Station (₹80 | 20 mins) • Traveled by Kochi Metro to Ernakulam South Railway Station (₹50 | ~45 mins) • Stayed overnight at KGrandeur Hotel, Ernakulam The next morning, I met my friends and booked a 12-seater vehicle to continue our journey towards Pamba, the base point of Sabarimala. 🛕 Erumely Dharmasastha Temple Darshan On the way to Pamba, we stopped at Erumely, a very important spiritual destination for Ayyappa devotees. Erumely Dharmasastha Temple holds great significance as it is believed to be the place where Lord Ayyappa defeated the demoness Mahishi. Devotees traditionally perform the Petta Thullal, a ritual dance symbolizing victory of good over evil. This temple marks a key milestone in the traditional Sabarimala pilgrimage, and many pilgrims consider their yatra incomplete without visiting Erumely. The spiritual energy, chants of “Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa”, and devotion here are truly powerful. 🥾 Trekking from Pamba to Sabarimala (Sannidhanam) After reaching Pamba, we began the sacred trek towards Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The Pamba to Sabarimala trek is approximately 5 km, passing through dense forests and steep paths. Devotees take a holy dip in the Pamba River before starting the climb, as it is believed to cleanse the soul. The trek includes: • Neelimala • The famous 18 Holy Steps (Pathinettam Padi) Though physically challenging, the journey is filled with devotion, chants, and an indescribable spiritual feeling. Every step taken chanting “Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa” gives strength and peace. Reaching the Sannidhanam and having darshan of Lord Ayyappa is a truly divine and emotional experience. 🙏 Final Thoughts This Sabarimala Yatra was not just a journey, but a life-changing spiritual experience. I hope this video helps fellow devotees plan their trip and understand the spiritual importance of each stage of the pilgrimage.
