Riding the South Coast of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 | A Little Mission in Mirissa

Today we ride from Ahangama to Mirissa along the south coast of Sri Lanka, hoping to complete a little mission. 🇱🇰 It’s a small family scooter adventure — my husband, our 3-year-old son Noah, and me — exploring the beautiful coastal road and stopping along the way. About a year ago I bought a pair of beautiful river pearl earrings from a lady I met at a hippie market in Ahangama. Later I learned that she is now based in Mirissa, so today I’m hoping to find her again and get a matching necklace. On the way we: • stop at a petrol station • visit a local market where Noah finally gets his long-awaited lollipop 🍭 • get caught in tropical Sri Lankan rain • hide near a temple and have a snack After the rain slows down, we continue our ride and finally reach Mirissa Beach. We walk along the shore while I continue my little mission. To finish the day we enjoy Italian food in Mirissa before jumping back on the scooter and taking a very bumpy road on the way home.
