South Sudan Accepts DR Congo National Amid Deportation Row With US | Firstpost Africa | N18G Diplomatic tensions have escalated between the US and South Sudan. After condemning Washington’s decision to revoke visas following a deportation dispute, Juba has now agreed to accept the DR Congo national who was earlier denied entry due to being mistakenly identified as South Sudanese. South Sudan’s refusal prompted the US to revoke all visas for South Sudanese citizens and block new arrivals from the country. South Sudan has called for constructive dialogue with the US to resolve the dispute and has ordered its embassy in Washington to issue emergency travel documents for 21 of the 23 individuals slated for repatriation. The visa ban has deeply shocked many South Sudanese, particularly those with family in the US.
