Wrap-up of AIDS 2024, with IAVI at the heart of global HIV/AIDS response dialogue AIDS 2024, the 25th International AIDS Conference, concluded successfully in Munich, Germany, and virtually July 22-26, 2024, drawing approximately 10,000 participants from across the globe. The conference featured extensive discussions on the future of the global AIDS response, focusing on the sustainability of HIV programs. With more than 40 oral abstract sessions, 50 invited-speaker sessions, 20 workshops, 30 symposia sessions, 100 satellite sessions, and 2,200 posters, AIDS 2024 showcased exciting community-led innovations alongside scientific breakthroughs and game changers. Advocates highlighted the urgent need for equal access to the latest advances, while politicians renewed their commitment to sustaining an effective response to HIV. IAVI hosted around 10 sessions — including pre-conference, satellite, and symposia sessions; a side event at the global village; and poster presentations to showcase our work, along with that of our partners, contributing to the global HIV response. Looking ahead, IAS 2025, the 13th IAS Conference on HIV Science, is scheduled for Kigali, Rwanda, next year, while HIVR4P 2024, the 5th HIV Research for Prevention Conference, will take place in Lima, Peru, and virtually October 6-10, 2024, bringing together around 1,500 participants.
