In this video I discuss why this new visa is such a big deal, its INSANELY low requirements for applying, and how I can help you get the visa. *UPDATES: The Foreign Ministry usually will respond between 15-30 days after you apply. They have up to 30 days to give a formal response. The time granted on this visa is entirely up to the Foreign Ministry. They could give you 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years. It depends on them, so plan accordingly. Fun facts: 💻 The design and development of the Colombia digital nomad visa can be attributed to CEO Ilana Milkes and her team at E-Pioneers, a climate startup created by World Tech, another startup known for programming bootcamps in Latin America. 💻 This visa is expected to facilitate the arrival of at least 45,000 digital nomads to the country in the first 18 months. 💻 It will not officially take effect until October 20th, 2022. 💻 The cost to apply is: we don't know yet! I will update this section once the Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes this information. 💻 You can stay up to two years on this new visa! I'm so excited to see the positive effects that will come out of this new visa that will allow remote workers the chance to reside here for a longer period of time. The legal requirements for stay for remote workers will now no longer be a barrier to all the innovation happening within digital nomad/startup/entrepreneur circles.
