It's Halloween today, October 31, 2025. On this date Indie folk band Florence and the Machine have released their brand new 6th album Everybody Scream'! To celebrate this event we publish today their great perfomance at Pinkpop 2010 today. Enjoy! Florence + The Machine will play Afas Dome Antwerp on February 23, 2026 and Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam on February 25, 2026. Florence and the Machine (stylized: Florence + The Machine) is a British band formed around singer and frontwoman Florence Welch. The music can best be described as soul-inspired indie. Florence and the Machine broke through in 2008 when she was given the opportunity to play at the South by Southwest festival through the BBC music program BBC Introducing. She was the support act for MGMT and was seen at the Glastonbury Festival and the Reading and Leeds Festivals. In June 2008 the first single, Kiss With A Fist, was released, which reached number 51 in the UK Singles Chart. At the Brit Awards in February 2009, Florence and The Machine received the Critics' Choice Award, a prize for new talent determined by music critics. Heavy In Your Arms by Florence and the Machine was used in the soundtrack of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2009). From March 2009, Kiss With A Fist was used in a Nike television commercial. In 2009, Cosmic Love was used in an episode of The Vampire Diaries of The CW Television Network. On July 6th, 2009, the band's debut album Lungs was released. In the summer of 2009 they performed at various festivals, such as Glastonbury, Lowlands and the German Hurricane Festival. In 2011, Dog Days Are Over was used for Apple's iPad 2 commercial. In the same year the second album Ceremonials was released, which became a top 10 success in several countries. On 15 July 2012, Florence and the Machine reached the number 1 position in the UK Singles Chart for the first time. This happened with the Calvin Harris mix of the song Spectrum (Say my name). In May 2015, the band released its third album: How big, how blue, how beautiul. This put the band at number 1 in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, among others. The fourth studio album, High as hope, was released in 2018 and was also internationally successful. The fifth studio album Dance Fever was released on May 13, 2022.
