Young and Tina here 🤍 Christina here. I usually travel with my mom, but this trip took a different turn. It started with a notification. I was answering DMs on my phone when an email from Omakase popped up: long story short, I had somehow landed impossible-to-get seats for two at Sushi Akira. We immediately planned a trip to Tokyo to explore the impressive new Azabudai Hills district. But plans changed, and I found myself navigating the city alone. What started as a change of plans turned into a lesson in contrast. Checking into the Janu Hotel solo gave me the space to look past the massive scale of Tokyo's "future" and find the quiet corners that actually make this city feel serene. This video is a visual diary of that balance. From the polished halls of Azabudai to a hidden Kengo Kuma temple that isn't on most tourist maps, I wanted to share the different sides of this city. Along the way, I found a specific "loophole" to visit TeamLab Borderless without the crowds, and discovered why a smaller garden museum might just be the most peaceful spot in town. I hope this brings you a bit of calm today. 📍 Notes from the Itinerary: • Sushi Akira: The reason for the trip. • Janu Tokyo & Azabudai Hills: A stunning, modern base for the trip. •TeamLab Borderless @teamLabmovie: The flagship experience. • Teien Art Museum: Former residence of a royal prince. • Zuishō-ji Temple: The surprise highlight. A Kengo Kuma masterpiece. 👇 CHAPTERS (Jump to your favorite part): 00:00 Intro & Janu Hotel 00:48 Customized Dashi at Okume 01:06 Stores at Azabudai Hills 01:52 Azabudai Hills Market 02:15 Teamlab Borderless 03:53 Sushi Akira 05:14 Daikanyama 05:52 Nezu Museum 06:13 Teien Museum 06:33 Kengo Kuma Designed Zuishoji Temple 07:20 Honest Reviews, Tips & Outro ----------------------------------------------------- 📷 Camera & Gear Camera: Leica Q3 Editing: DaVinci Resolve ----------------------------------------------------- Connect with us ✌🏽 Young: / iamyoungfromkorea Christina: / mirrorlessadventures About this video: A cinematic slow travel diary exploring the quieter side of Tokyo.
