AMAHORO N'ITERAMBERE - KUZIGAMA NO KUGURIZANYA

The Amahoro N’Iterambere project, implemented by ARDE/KUBAHO and SPR in partnership with MEDICUS MUNDI,in Rubavu District and Goma, empowers Rwandan and Congolese cross-border women traders by strengthening their financial independence, knowledge of rights, and resilience. Through monthly savings and loan sessions, training on human, women’s, and children’s rights, as well as practical guidance on taxation and the use of Electronic Billing Machines, the project reduces reliance on exploitative lenders and fosters peaceful collaboration across borders. It also provides psychosocial support during times of regional instability, ensuring that women can continue their livelihoods while promoting coexistence and stability. By combining economic empowerment, peacebuilding, and social cohesion, Amahoro N’Iterambere is transforming women’s lives and communities along the Rwanda–DRC border.
