In this video I demonstrate how to give a boa constrictor intramuscular injections and oral medication. If you have a sick snake please take it to a veterinarian. You can use this video to get an idea of how to safely give it medicine. Notes: The medication given to you for your snake may differ from what I gave Desert Ross here. Make sure you understand the instructions given to you by your vet and call them for clarification if you need to. Sometimes snakes are given subcutaneous injections instead of intramuscular. Subcutaneous means "under the skin." If you have a pet snake, you should get comfortable looking into its mouth from time to time. Excess mucus can be a sign of respiratory infection. Edit: I incorrectly said the oral medication was 3.4 cc, it was actually 0.34 cc. Make sure your dosage is correct!
